I'm a senior lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering at the University of Portsmouth. My specialist areas are Networking, Distributed Systems, Computer Architecture and Human Computer Interaction. I teach at diploma, degree and masters levels and also supervise student projects at BSc, MSc and PhD levels. I am course leader for BSc and MSc courses.

I worked over fifteen years in the computer industry before taking up lectureship in 1997.

I am carrying out research in brain body interfaces for patients with traumatic brain injury. This includes the areas of HCI and AI. I am also carrying out research in networking and distributed systems.
